Project Description

The sun is out, the temperatures are high, and you’re looking for an adventure. Look no further than the Wenatchee River in Leavenworth! Whitewater rafting is a main-stay of the Bavarian Village and it’s one of the most popular summertime activities from early spring to late summer with tons of adventure-seekers riding the 16 miles between Leavenworth and Cashmere every year. In fact, Leavenworth is one of the most popular rafting destinations in all of Washington State!

With over 300 days of sunshine a year, your chances are good for rafting on a beautiful sunny day. This section of the Wenatchee River has lots of class 2 and 3 whitewater which is perfect for beginners and thrill-seekers of all ages. Start in the forested alpine environment in Leavenworth and wind 16 miles east downstream, past orchards, rolling hills, towering cliff faces, and sandstone spires, ending at Riverside Park in Cashmere. Take on the bigger rapids boasting names like Boulder Bend, Rock N’ Roll, and Snowblind.
