Pedestrian upgrades and other improvements coming to US 2 between Leavenworth and Peshastin this June
LEAVENWORTH – Starting June 9, travelers on US 2 will encounter single-lane closures, flagger-controlled traffic and traffic delays in two intersections of the highway between Leavenworth and Peshastin.
A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will install traffic signal cameras and pedestrian push-buttons at the intersection of Main Street and US 2 in Peshastin (milepost 103). Additionally, the contractor will install compression seals at both ends of Bridge 02/220 over the Wenatchee River in Leavenworth (milepost 100).
Work is scheduled for up to 10 working weekdays. Working hours for the project are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and also from 6:30 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday between June 12 and 13.
