Boats of all shapes and sizes tour the lake, waterskiing and wakeboarding being prime attractions. Drive through the hills surrounding Chelan and Manson and you will see one thing: grapes. The valley is one of the fastest growing wine regions in the county, with nearly 40 wineries, offering wine tastings, vineyard tours and year-round events.
Walk the shady trails lining Lake Chelan, take a dip in the Lake at one of the many public parks or jump on a water ferry for a trip to Stehekin. Accessible only by boat or seaplane, this hamlet nestled in the North Cascades at the headwaters of Lake Chelan boasts approximately 95 full-time residents, blue-green water fed by glaciers, sub-alpine timber, deer outside your front door, and a kind of magic only found when absolutely lost in nature.
