While their specialty may be waterslides, the fun at Slidewaters doesn’t stop there. Other park features include a wading pool, a 60-person hot tub, a sand volleyball court, a lazy river, an aqua-zoo for little kids, and amenities including concessions, private pavilions, outdoor grills, large changing rooms with benches, showers, and personal lockers, a sun deck, and a gift shop in case you forget sunscreen or need to pick up a bathing suit, or want to purchase an underwater mask, or a Slidewaters souvenir.

For those seeking a thrill, check out Purple Haze their fastest slide in the park that sends riders through over 400 feet of pitch black drops and turns before emptying into the light and pool at the bottom. Or, race up to two friends, while sliding head-first on a foam carpet with handles, on the Downhill Racer.

There are also singles and doubles tube rides like the Tube Blaster and Thunder Rapids. Grab a friend and ride the 400 foot long Tube Blaster on a tube made for two sliding high on the banked walls around multiple 360 degree turns. Or, Thunder Rapids is perfect for larger groups who want to enjoy a ride together.

Slidewaters offers four shorter slides that are perfect for up & coming thrill seekers too. The smaller two slides, Bug-a-Boo and Squirt Gun, are a great place for parents to launch & catch the youngest of sliders. Then, two intermediate slides, White Water and Run Amuck, are the perfect place for young children to race parents, gain confidence & have an unforgettable time. Still seem a little much for your youngest, head over to the Aqua-Zoo made for those under 48 inches tall to enjoy mini animal slides, the mushroom waterfall, and a teeter-totter that shoots water as each side travels up and down.

Make sure to check out the oversized water bucket that is perched about 15 feet off the ground in the wading pool. Every several minutes, the bucket fills with water and tips over dumping all it’s contents; then repeats the process, continually. Learn the secret to knowing when it’s about to dump all the water (hint: watch the water wheel on the side), or just wait in suspense for a real splash of a surprise. With over a dozen water features and slides, Slidewaters is sure to keep everyone entertained for hours on end.

Rest for lunch at one of the picnic or patio tables, or find a spot in the trees on the grass. You can also use private pavilions to celebrate birthdays, and other occasions. There are several outdoor briquette grills within the park that are perfect for grilling up some hot dogs or sausages too.  Bring your own food, or purchase food and drink within the park with options including hot dogs, corn dogs, pizza, salad, subs, burgers, and even ice cream, iced coffee drinks, and real fruit smoothies.

The staff at Slidewaters rally’s every day to make sure everyone has a good time while staying safe. Located throughout the park, poolside and at the tops and bottoms of every slide, the employees are quick to help with everything from answering questions to grabbing a band-aid.

With 7 acres of green grass, colorful slides and structures intertwined into the natural landscape, large shade trees, and views of the shimmering Lake Chelan in the near distance, Slidewaters stands out amongst water parks in the way it embraces its natural surroundings. Plus, its reputation for cleanliness, attention to safety and friendly staff draws people in from all over the world. Open from Labor Day to Memorial Day 7 days per week; get there early to get a good spot on the grass and to beat some of the afternoon crowds. Or, go later in the day, later in the season, to catch some amazing sunset water rides with one-of-a-kind views of Lake Chelan and the surrounding foothills and countryside.
