About

About
Snowdrift Cider Co. is a family-owned craft cidery and orchard in East Wenatchee, set below basalt cliffs with views of the Cascade Range at sunset. The family has grown apples, pears, cherries and grapes in the Wenatchee Valley since the 1940s, and Peter and Mary Ann Ringsrud began farming the present orchard in 1974.
Their ciders are made from cider apples grown right on the orchard, including heirloom and traditional varieties such as Dabinett, Foxwhelp, Golden Russet, Harrison and Calville Blanc d'Hiver. After years of making cider at home, the family earned its commercial license in 2009 and released its first bottles that November.
The tasting room is open Friday and Saturday from noon to 5pm, and other times can be arranged by appointment with Peter. Ciders are also sold online, and the cider club ships bottles every other month with perks such as first access to orchard dinners.
